Is the program any good?

Two NCHSAA 4A state championships — 2017 and 2022 — and eight SWAC conference titles. The 2017 team went 22-0. The 2026 team finished 24-5 and played in the state final, losing 9-8 in overtime.

Recent college placement: seven players from the 2021 team went on to play in college, and five from the 2020 class, three of them Division I.

Middle Creek is a public high school — if you live in the attendance zone, he is eligible to try out. Tryouts are held in the pre-season and off-season workouts run before that.

A North Carolina state record

Forty-three straight wins

The winning streak reached 43 consecutive games — a state record. The 2017 season sat inside that run: 22-0 overall, 16-0 in the SWAC, and a 17-8 win over Lake Norman for the first state championship in school history.

4A State Champions — beat Weddington 9-8

Middle Creek won the 4A final 9-8 on a goal with ten seconds left. The season finished 23-2, 13-1 in the SWAC, ranked first in the state.

4A State Champions — the first, and a perfect season

The first state title in school history. Middle Creek went 22-0 and beat Lake Norman 17-8 in the final. NCHSAA's own headline: “Middle Creek dominates possession and wins first title 17-8 over Lake Norman.”

    State final: 8–9 to Charlotte Catholic in overtime

    Middle Creek reached the state final and lost it in overtime, 9-8, finishing the season 24-5.
